Media students get the red carpet treatment at film premiere
Media students got the red carpet treatment at the official premiere of locally produced film The Carolers.
The Level 2 and 3 learners were given an incredible opportunity to step inside the world of professional filmmaking when they were invited to the set of the short film, being shot in Nuneaton.
They gained exclusive behind-the-scenes access and saw first-hand how a film is brought to life.
But the experience didn’t stop there. The film’s Los Angeles-based writer and director Phil Coates, who hails from Nuneaton, later visited the college to deliver an inspiring talk, sharing insider knowledge about the creative and production process.
Just before Christmas learners were invited to walk the red carpet at the film’s official premiere at The Abbey Theatre in Nuneaton, where they networked with cast and crew and enjoyed an exclusive first look at the finished film.
The partnership continues into the new year, with the Phil returning to the college to give even more students the chance to see the film and learn directly from industry professionals.
