Performing Arts
Learners studying performing arts develop their dance, acting and performance skills in a large performance studio with fully accessible industry standard equipment. They also learn about the technical and design skills needed to create and put on a show.

Entry Level 3/Level 1 Certificate & Diploma in Performing Arts

A two year practical hands-on course which introduces some of the basic techniques, creative styles and processes in performing arts.

Students develop a range of relevant practical, communication and technical skills with activities tailored to meet the interests and aspirations of individual groups of learners.

Level 2/3 Certificate & Diploma in Performing Arts

Learners develop the skills to progress as a dance and/or drama based performance artist or technical engineer, and take part in performances and events. They expand their acting, dance and musical performance, as well as technical and design skills. There is a focus on what it means to work in the performing arts industry.

Future career routes

You will gain the skills needed to progress within further education, higher education and employment within the performing arts industry. There is the opportunity to access relevant work experience to support progression to employment.

We have extensive partnerships with employers and an expanding supported internship study programme.
