What our learners say
Jake did a Fine Art GCSE at school before studying Level 2 and 3 Art & Design at Hereward College where he developed a whole range of different skills and techniques.
He went on to do a supported internship as an Art Technician at Hereward where he is responsible for organising equipment and material, supporting students with clay work and 3D printing, and creating exemplars for learners to follow.
Jake says:
"When I started I was terrified of speaking to people I didn't know. In this role I have dealt with telephone enquiries and suppliers, represented the art department at college events, and even taught an external collage making workshop to young people with disabilties."I have been out of my comfort zone but my confidence has grown massively and it has been a wonderful experience."
