Meet our staff

Tracey Smith – Curriculum Manager
“The college is very supportive when it comes to career development. I started here 22 years ago as a classroom assistant; I have been managing the Foundation Pathway for 12 years now.”

Steve Kelly – Progress Coach
“I returned to Hereward College after ten years in job roles elsewhere to join the Progress Coach Team when an opportunity arose. A couple of years on I can say it’s easily the best career decision I have ever made.”

Mercedi Panos – Job Coach
“Since joining Hereward two years ago as a carer within the onsite college residential facility, my career has flourished. All job opportunities are advertised internally, and I have been successful in progressing to become a job coach and now a part-time Programme Manager. I have enjoyed great support from managers and undertaken a variety of training courses. Encouragement from senior colleagues has been key to helping me get where I am today.”

Jennifer Standfield – Head of Care
“I’ve been at the college for five years now. I started my career here as an independent learning support assistant, before I was promoted to ILS Deputy Manager and I am now the Head of Care.
