The College - Introduction

Hereward College is a general further education college located in Coventry. It offers inclusive provision with specialist facilities for students with a wide range of learning difficulties and/or disabilities. The College is a charity by exemption, led by a board of governors. Our key priority is to enable learners to achieve academic and vocational qualifications, and to develop the necessary independence skills to support a successful transition to adulthood and, where possible, employment.
We strive for excellence in ensuring that students have many opportunities to develop their potential, and shape their own futures, through a very diverse range of personal, cultural, sporting and vocational activities.
These opportunities are available because of the highly committed and innovative staff across all teams who work tirelessly with students to expand their horizons and help to develop their self-confidence, self-belief and sense of achievement.
We have every confidence in both our learning programmes and the outstanding specialist support services that have enabled our students to achieve success rates that are in the top 10% of colleges in the country in recent years. We hope that you will be inspired to visit us and to participate in the programmes we have on offer. We have something for everyone and you can be assured of a friendly and supportive environment in which to develop your skills, whatever your level of achievement.
