Hereward College manages a supported internship programme with a range of key employment partners which enables young people (aged 16-24) with an education, health and care (EHC) plan to gain experience in the workplace within a supported environment.
Learners take part in the programme with one of our partner employers and spend up to 30 hours a week working in a range of different areas and gain valuable experience with the support of an on-site Hereward Job Coach.
Interns undertake a City & Guilds qualification in Employability Skills and can also take maths and English qualifications suitable to their level.
The programme is available to all young people who meet the eligibility criteria and we currently have the following supported internship placements available at Henley College Coventry:
- Student Services – Business Administration/Customer Service role
- Skills Work – Business Administration/Customer Service role
- School Administration – Business Administration
- Henley Active Sports Centre – Sports
If you, or anyone you know would benefit from a supported internship contact Natalie Kelly on 024 7642 6143 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
