Supported internships are a study programme aimed at young people (aged 16-24) with an EHC plan to gain experience in the workplace within a supported environment and provide a platform for the young people to further develop their skills and experience in a structured way.
Learners take part in the programme with one of our partner employers and spend up to 30 hours a week working in different areas to gain valuable experience with the support of an on-site Hereward Job Coach. Interns are onsite at Hereward College one day a week to undertake a City & Guilds qualification in Employability Skills and can take maths and English qualifications suitable to their level.
Hereward’s supported internship programme is open to both external and internal applications. For more information on the application process contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call 024 7642 6175. An information event on supported internships is being held at the college on Tuesday 27th February at 6pm.
