Building Better Opportunities ‘Progress’

Hereward College is a delivery partner for a new programme of coaching and support to provide young people not in employment, education or training (NEET) and at risk of NEET across Coventry and Warwickshire access training and employment opportunities.

Led by environmental charity, Groundwork, ‘Progress’, is a part of ‘Building Better Opportunities’ – a programme funded by the European Social Fund and the Big Lottery Fund to tackle poverty and social exclusion faced by the most disadvantaged people in England.

At least 840 NEET or at risk of NEET young people will be supported into or towards employment, training, or education with the programme aiming to support some of the most marginalised young people across Coventry and Warwickshire to overcome personal barriers and challenges preventing them from engaging

The programme has been designed to help young people aged 15 – 24 improve their chances of employment by offering them coaching support and bespoke activities in order to build skills and confidence and ultimately put them on the right path to a successful future.
