Employability

It is our aim to prepare all our learners with outstanding employability skills and much greater control over your own future.

You will start your employability journey as soon as you arrive at college with access to a Job Coach who will encourage you towards personal targets and provide work experience support.

We offer a very high standard of work experience opportunities to all our learners with a programme of internal and external work placements, careers advice, and focussed activities and events throughout the year.

Supported Internships

Hereward also has strong links with local employers and our Supported Internship programme provides a platform for you to further develop your skills and experience in a structured way.

Learners take part in the programme for 10 months with one of our partner employers and spend up to 30 hours a week working in a range of different areas and gaining valuable experience with the support of an on-site Hereward Job Coach.

Interns also undertake a City & Guilds qualification in Employability Skills and can also take maths and English qualifications suitable to your level.
