Hereward students reach finals of national money management challenge

A team of media students from Hereward College have impressed judges and reached the national finals of the national Money for Life Challenge.

The Money for Life Challenge is a national competition supported by Lloyds Banking Group with the National Skills Academy for Financial Services, which provides grants for 16 to 24 year olds to run a project to improve money management skills in their communities. The most inspiring and influential projects compete in the National Finals and then onto the UK Grand Final.

The students will showcase their ‘Money Rockers TV Show’ in competition with nine other regional finalists to a panel of over 100 participants. Winners will go on to the UK Grand Final in London in May.

The Money Rockers TV Show discusses best practice in managing money. Hereward student, Kimberley Robson said: “It’s been a great opportunity for us to learn about money saving while also learning in how to film a tv show.”
