Hereward College student, Joey Mander is one of 13 young people selected to be part of a National Youth Board set up to represent the voices of thousands of Anti-Bullying Ambassadors across the UK.
The anti-bullying ambassador programme is run by the Diana Award, and Hereward College students were recognised for their anti-bullying initiatives at a high profile showcase event last year.
Members of the Anti-Bullying National Youth Board gain the skills and knowledge they need to stop bullying in their schools and communities, feed ideas into the Anti-Bullying Ambassador programme, speak at events, and raise awareness of bullying.
Joey says: “It’s a fantastic opportunity for me to be able to share and build on the work we have been doing at Hereward to raise awareness of bullying. I am part of a wider Peer Support team and we run a number of anti-bullying initiatives and activities throughout the year.
“Being on the Youth Board means I am able to share our experiences with others who are as passionate as me and determined to make a difference.”
