Equality
The college aims to ensure that all its members are treated equally to prevent discrimination or other unfair treatment against any users of its services, regardless of: age; disability, family responsibility; marital status; race; colour; ethnicity; nationality; religion or belief; gender; sexual orientation; trade union activity; unrelated criminal convictions; or offending background that does not create risk to children and vulnerable adults.
Hereward College recognises that people have differences and values this diversity. This is managed through a responsive approach to the delivery of service in all areas of college life. The college also supports the work that the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) does to reduce inequality, eliminate discrimination and strengthen good relations between people.
