Paul Cook – Chief Executive
Paul Cook became Principal of the Hereward College in August 2017 having a wealth of experience of the FE sector in a number of roles.
Michael Lynch – Chair
Mike Lynch is retired. He was previously employed at PSA Peugeot Citroen as HR Director (Northern Europe) and brings a wealth of business and commercial experience. He is Chairman of the Quality and Standards Committee.
Joanna Forbes – Vice Chair
Joanna Forbes is a Legal Director with a national firm of solicitors, advising on HE/FE issues including disability and equality.
Hayley Hillyard is a qualified accountant with financial and audit experience. She served as an independent Governor prior to becoming a co-opted member of the Audit Committee.
John Montgomery is a self-employed accountant who is semi-retired. He brings professional experience of finance and compliance, previous experience of the Governor role within a specialist educational school setting, and experience as a foster parent to a young person with SEN.
Barry Braithwaite (Support Staff)
Barry Braithwaite is the staff governor elected by the support staff to the Corporation in Spring term 2016. He has been at the college since 2006 and is a Site Services Officer.
Jane Sims is retired. She brings experience of teaching and delivery/management of learning opportunities within community settings and senior management at a Local Authority.
Kate Evans is currently employed by a non-ministerial government department. She brings knowledge of curriculum and qualifications, project management and the FE sector.
Anil Sharma is a Safeguarding and Equality Manager at a large General Further Education College. He has extensive experience, understanding and operational knowledge of safeguarding and equality and diversity within the FE sector, with substantial experience of working with young people and in the delivery of training.
Louise Miervaldis (Academic Staff)
Louise Miervaldis is an academic staff governor elected by the academic staff to the Corporation in Spring term 2017.
Karen McGrath is currently employed by a University based in the Midlands, working in the area of post compulsory education and training.
She brings knowledge of the education sector and Ofsted and has working relationships linked to a number of other regional FE Colleges. She also serves on Education and Training Foundation’s Prevent Working Group.
