Welcome to Hereward!
Hereward College is a national, specialist, residential college of further education. The college welcomes all learners including those with diverse and complex support requirements. In addition to the 100+ residential learners, day disabled and non disabled learners also attend the college. Feedback from learners has shown us that they like the inclusiveness of the college population.
"It's good to be able to go out places and doing things on your own gives you more independence". (Christian, 2009)
"Being at the college feels like being given a new lease of life".
(Stuart, 2009)

The care enabling service aims to provide the best standards of care possible, whilst enabling you to maximise your potential. Many of you are away from home for the first time, and find living at Hereward a very enjoyable experience, where new friends can be made and life skills developed.
Educational Enablers are a team of people who support you on your learning programme in a variety of different ways.
It is our responsibility to maintain and develop the entire Hereward campus and gardens. We help residential students set up their own room to meet their individual requirements. Our aim is to ensure that the campus is accessible to all. We are an environmentally conscious college and are working towards reducing the college's carbon footprint.
The promotion of equality and diversity is central to the work of the college and is enshrined in the college values; underpinned by policies and procedures, and practiced in day to day activities. Staff and students from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures are welcomed and supported and discrimination is tackled so that all can achieve their potential.
